Darker, Now

So the BF has been wanting us to do a project together, possibly of the graphic novel variety. The subject matter would be somewhere within the horror or mystery genres.  I am into it, especially when he pointed out 30 Days of Night as an inspiration. I’ve also been doing character drawings for an ongoing story that he is working on, in which he wanted me to draw in a dark but traditional comic book style. Not that I don’t appreciate classic comic style, but I am not really good at it! Not my forte. So we agreed to go in a different direction this time.

Anywho, last night I started to experiment with going darker using my usual media – mostly watercolor with a little graphic and white paint. I started with the familiar subject matter of female faces and went from there. I’ve labelled them as a ghoul and a victim.
